Finland Set for a Rainy and Cooler Weekend

Finland is set for a wet and noticeably cooler weekend, with rain and thunderstorms expected across much of the country from Friday afternoon.

The heaviest and most persistent rain is likely in Lapland, while western parts of Finland should remain relatively drier.

Temperatures will reach around 15–20°C in southern and central Finland on Friday. In Lapland, temperatures will stay closer to 10°C due to cooler northeasterly winds.

The weather should become somewhat clearer and drier during Friday evening, although northern Finland will continue to see rain.

The weekend will bring a sharper drop in temperatures. By Sunday, temperatures could fall below 10°C across much of Finland, making it feel more like autumn.
